Brief Introduction

Big data are increasingly driving technological innovation and strategic decision in contemporary organizations. To digitally transform business with big data and build a competitive advantage, firms are utilizing various kinds of business analytics from business intelligence embedded in database management tools to social media and mobile analytics. Business analytics allow firms to better understand fast-changing customer preferences and inform the key decisions for developing and delivering new products or services. Business analytics can also apply AI and machine learning tools to make sense of big data automatically, and make decisions and respond to customer needs in a timely manner. Therefore, big data and business analytics are at the heart of digital transformation and provide tremendous opportunities and challenges to organizations. This track calls for qualitative, quantitative and design science research addressing the strategic and technical topics related to big data and business analytics.
