Brief Introduction
In response to the complex health challenges posed by the pandemic, climate change, and global conflicts, a range of healthcare IS/IT solutions merit academic study. Information technologies have been widely used to facilitate the provision of different healthcare services to solve different health problems. However, the role of information technologies in the healthcare service provision and healthcare industry is still vague. Meanwhile, to make information technologies play their expected role and understand both the bright and dark sides of information technologies for healthcare services, several information managerial actions should be taken. With the development and application of emerging information technologies like artificial intelligence, large language models, cloud computing, the 5th generation wireless systems and mobile internet in healthcare services, many issues appear and attract more and more attention. This track provides a forum for presenting and discussing original and innovative research highlighting the opportunities and challenges related to the multifaceted role of ICT in modern healthcare. We invite papers presenting qualitative, quantitative, business analytics, computational, conceptual, and design science-oriented research that leverage the multiple perspectives of information systems in the healthcare sector.
