Human–AI Collaboration and Industrial Ecosystem Innovation

The Wuhan International Conference on E-Business (WHICEB) series is affiliated with the Association for Information Systems (AIS). It has been held successfully since 2000 and serves as an annual academic conference for the advancement of global e-business research, academic exchange, and cooperation. The global landscape and competition are undergoing profound transformation and restructuring. Rapid advancements in digital technologies, particularly emerging intelligent systems such as generative AI, are reshaping business ecosystems and competitive paradigms. Located in China’s Yangtze River Delta, Suzhou combines a rich cultural heritage with a strong manufacturing base and an active innovation ecosystem. Its industrial clusters and extensive international business connections offer opportunities to connect academic research with industrial practice. The city provides a valuable setting for examining how digital technologies transform businesses and enable collaboration across sectors.
WHICEB2027 will be held in Suzhou from May 27 to 30, 2027. Through academic presentations and discussion sessions, the conference will explore how digital platforms, AI technologies, and sustainable ecosystems are reshaping global value chains, empowering cross-border innovation, and fostering the business ecosystems of the future. Scholars in e-commerce, information systems, marketing, strategic management, and public management are welcome to participate in the conference, present interdisciplinary research findings, and share experiences from different countries and regions. English will be the official language of the conference.
World-class scholars in digital platforms, intelligent technologies, and sustainable ecosystems will be invited to give keynote speeches. Workshops on various topics will be organized in collaboration with academic institutions in China and abroad. A Doctoral Consortium will be held at the conference to engage early-career scholars and enrich academic activities.

Proceedings Publication

Conference proceedings from 2003-2021 have been indexed in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index Science/Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-S or CPCI-SSH, the former Index to Scientific & Technical Proceedings®, ISTP).

The conference proceedings of 2023 and 2025 were published in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP), and indexed in EI Compendex, CPCI, and Scopus.

The extended abstracts of the proceedings from 2011 onward will also be available in the AIS eLibrary
