The 5th CNAIS-WHICEB Forum on China Influence – Forum in Chinese

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), its application in social science research has been continuously deepening, profoundly transforming the research paradigm of social sciences. Intelligent Social Science (AI4SS) is regarded as the Fifth Paradigm of scientific research, following the experimental, theoretical, computational, and data-driven paradigms, ushering in a new era of intelligence-driven research. Meanwhile, AI4SS also raises numerous issues worthy of high attention, including research ethics, algorithmic bias, data privacy, insufficient interpretability, and the boundary of responsibility in human-machine collaboration. Against this backdrop, there is an urgent need to conduct in-depth discussions on the emerging phenomena, problems, and theories of AI4SS in the Chinese context, and to present China’s voice and wisdom on the international academic stage.
To promote systematic research and academic exchanges on AI4SS-related topics among Chinese scholars, the Technical Committee on Information Systems Engineering, Chinese Society of Systems Engineering (CNAIS) and the Wuhan International Conference on E-Business (WHICEB) jointly host the China Impact Forum. This forum aims to build an open, focused, and intellectually vibrant academic exchange platform. It invites distinguished experts and renowned scholars in information systems and related fields to conduct in-depth analyses of novel methods, scenarios, mechanisms, and theories in AI4SS, and to share their unique insights.
Focusing on the theme of AI4SS, this forum will highlight methodological innovations, theoretical expansion, and practical applications in intelligent social science research, as well as the ensuing ethical, governance, and academic norm issues. Particular emphasis will be placed on Chinese phenomena, Chinese theories, and Chinese contributions. We expect this forum to inspire Chinese scholars’ theoretical attention to both local issues and global agendas, and to advance the innovative development and international forefront of China’s social science research in the AI era.
