Brief Introduction
In today’s interconnected world, digital technologies are fundamentally reshaping business ecosystems. This track moves beyond the adoption of specific technologies to explore the formulation and execution of Digital Strategy that leverages these technologies for competitive advantage and positive Social Impact. We are interested in how organizations strategically position themselves within broader ecosystems—comprising partners, competitors, customers, and communities—to create and capture value in novel ways, while simultaneously addressing societal challenges.
Digital strategy encompasses the orchestration of platforms, data-driven insights, and new business models (e.g., crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, sharing economy) to drive organizational transformation and entrepreneurship. However, this pursuit of economic value must be strategically aligned with societal well-being. This raises critical questions: How can digital strategies be designed to be inherently socially impactful? How do organizations manage the tensions and synergies between profitability and social good? What governance mechanisms and strategic alliances are necessary to ensure that digital transformation benefits the broader ecosystem?
This track welcomes rigorous theoretical and empirical research that examines the intersection of strategic management, digital technology, and social value creation. We seek contributions that explore how deliberate digital strategies can foster inclusive growth, ethical practices, and sustainable outcomes within modern business ecosystems.
