Brief Introduction

Emerging digital technologies, such as social media, mobile applications, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Internet of Things (IoT), and etc., show significant promises in changing the way of how we communicate, interact, and behave in the workplace. The nature of work in organizations is evolving to accommodate the changes led by the use of digital technologies. The penetration of digital technologies in the workplace not only transforms jobs but also has deep effects on employee psychological, behavioral, and relational aspects. Ultimately digital technologies are transforming the workplace and organizing, including leading to new forms of interaction, leadership, workplace relationships, structures and individual responses to these new patterns of work. This track focuses on these and other issues related to the use and impacts of digital technologies in workplaces.
