Brief Introduction
Digital technologies are a fundamental driver of societal and economic transformation. As organizations and communities strive to achieve sustainable development, the intersection between digital technologies and sustainability has garnered increasing attention, especially within the field of information systems. By addressing the digital divide, supporting green innovation, and improving workforce capabilities, digital technologies have the potential to bridge gaps, foster equitable growth, and help organizations and communities align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.
This track explores how digital technologies can contribute to building a more sustainable future, enhancing economic growth while reducing environmental impact and promoting social inclusion and equality. We focus on topics that explore the multifaceted role of digital technologies, and particularly AI to fit this year’s conference theme, in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) within organizations and communities. We look forward to research that delves into how these technologies are reshaping business models, driving operational efficiency, raising social welfare, and creating inclusive opportunities for both technical and non-technical organizational and community members. We welcome papers of all research methods, and the list below aims to provide an illustration of topics that we believe can help us understand the challenges and opportunities at the nexus of digital technologies and sustainability.
